Addressing Your Client's Concerns and Problems
Business Tip: Provide a Solution
Solving the Client's and Customer's Problem
The basics
Many businesses are put up and founded for the basic purposeof finding a solution to a problem, making things easier,
simplifying complicated situations, providing a service or
product needed and giving customers and clients a sense of
being attended to. From this list of business purposes and
missions and objectives, probably the most basic is the one
that provides a solution to a problem.
The customer's and client's dilemma
Often, the client's or customer's dilemma appears big and
feels as if it there is a big obstacle or challenge to tackle.
But if we focus not on our self-interests or the business in
general but rather be more objective and really concentrate
on what problem the customer or client wants to be solved,
then we can find a solution. Often the solution is not
obtained by ourself alone but also through the help of other
people - either connected with the business, directly or
indirectly. But to find solutions to problems, we have to be
creative and persistent in our solving. In the process of
finding the solution, we also learn so many things and we
often feel surprised that there are really many resources to
be tapped. The important thing is persistence, and a strong
will to solve the problem. Once we find the solution we are
searching for, we have continued the life of our business,
and in so doing, raise it a level and degree higher in terms
of its ability to look for solutions to the problems of our
clients and customers.
Simplify the search for a solution
Sometimes we compound the difficulty of finding a solution
by having too complicated motives and intentions included
in what we want to accomplish. For instance, when we want
to find the solution to our client's problem, we usually opt
for the perfect and total solution. This will truly indeed
be a big challenge and a big account to fill. Since many
business owners have already a lot to do, they can either do
two things: either delegate it to an employee who can find
the perfect solution, or if the solution needs an emergent
and urgent response, then opting for a simple but not
'perfect' solution, can be considered the 'perfect solution'.
Simple solutions are really what most clients and customers
want. Those who want the perfect solution often run into
complications. And these clients often need more attention
and expect a level of service excellence from the business.
When persistence fails, humility succeeds
We have to be realistic at times also. If by our persistence
and strong-willed desire to succeed and solve the problem, we
have arrived at an impasse, then we have to be humble and accept
the fact that we are limited. That is why we are not the only
business around. Other businesses are there to provide what
we cannot provide. In the business world, we are also a
community - with each business entity contributing its share
of servicing the society. And if there is no other business
that can seem to provide the solution, then usually there are
people who God gifts with the intuition and the intelligence
to invent or innovate a product or system that can provide a
new solution. The Lord gives us the gift of knowledge and
intelligence to progress our human civilization. He wills
that we create and build, for this is His power that He shares
with us.
